Camp Evolve

A Camp for the Soul

Camp Evolve 2025 โ€” Kavala, Greece

From August 18 to 22, Camp Evolve 2025 took place in the beautiful blue city of Kavala. Surrounded by sea views and inspiring scenery, our campers spent five unforgettable days filled with creativity, connection, and discovery. Each day offered something new, from hands-on creative activities that prepare young people for life, to energising games and unique excursions they had never experienced before. It was a week of growth, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Six girls gathered outdoors around a makeshift oven made from a cardboard box covered in aluminum foil, with some food inside, during daytime.
A woman and three children gathered around a table, opening a cardboard box with money and game pieces inside in a room with colorful walls and a display cabinet.
Various containers and packaging materials, including aluminum foil and cardboard, placed on a wooden park bench outdoors.

Solar Ovens with Tina

The children explored the power of the sun by creating their own solar ovens using cardboard, paper, tape and cling film. With Tinaโ€™s guidance, they learned how sunlight can be transformed into heat energy for real cooking. They also discovered different types of healthy seeds, which they mixed together to bake nutritious crackers using only solar heat. This hands-on experience encouraged them to think creatively, act resourcefully and appreciate the connection between science and sustainability.

Introduction to Conceptual Art with Adonis

Guided by Adonis, the children explored a powerful form of expression through conceptual art. They were invited to sketch their fears on a large sheet of paper, discovering that art can be a safe and creative way to release emotion. Rather than focusing on beauty or perfection, the activity encouraged honest expression and self-awareness.

After sharing their artwork and talking about their fears with the group, each child leapt through their paper, symbolically breaking through what held them back. This experience not only introduced them to a meaningful branch of art but also allowed them to take part in a live installation โ€” turning emotion into action and courage.

Day Trip to Thassos Island

Our day on Thassos Island was a beautiful balance of adventure and relaxation. The group spent time unwinding on Limenaki Beach, swimming in the clear blue waters and soaking up the peaceful surroundings. We explored the charming town, enjoyed delicious local meals, and experienced the welcoming island atmosphere. As the day came to an end, we travelled back by ferry while watching the sun set over the sea โ€” a perfect close to a memorable day.

Evening at Kavala Luna Park

One of the highlights of our stay was an evening visit to the lively Luna Park in Kavala. The children enjoyed the rides, games and bright lights that filled the park with excitement and laughter. It was a time to relax, have fun and celebrate the weekโ€™s achievements together. As night fell, the joy and energy of the park made for a perfect ending to a day full of adventure and connection.

Yoga with Tina

The campers experienced moments of calm and focus during yoga sessions with Tina. Through gentle stretches, breathing exercises, and mindful movement, they learned how to connect with their bodies and center their minds. These sessions encouraged relaxation, self-awareness, and a sense of inner balance โ€” helping the children recharge and approach each day with energy and positivity.

Slacklining with Adonis

Under Adonisโ€™s guidance, the children tried slacklining, a fun activity that teaches balance, focus, and perseverance. Walking across the line required concentration and courage, helping them build confidence in their abilities. The activity was filled with laughter, encouragement, and small triumphs, showing that learning to balance can be both a playful challenge and a valuable life skill.
